Art has the power to move you, to challenge the way you see the world, and to make you feel something you’ve never felt before.

AbilityPath, Futures Explored, and Helpers Community Inc established Creative Spotlight™, An Art Collective for Change, to showcase artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) from across the Bay Area. The collective explores how greater access, visibility, and representation can strengthen and transform the arts community.

This is the kind of art that changes lives—and we believe it should be within everyone’s reach. Some of the most powerful art is created by adults with I/DD, yet many people have limited access to it. This art deserves to be seen, celebrated, and experienced everywhere.

Imagine this work becoming a regular fixture in galleries, museums, and public spaces. We need more than small steps—we need a movement that puts this art front and center. That’s why Creative Spotlight™ exists: to build on the work already underway and ensure these artists’ work can be seen, felt, and valued by everyone.

These voices belong everywhere. If you believe art should reach everyone, join us in advancing this movement for greater access, representation, and change.
